Frequently asked questions
Doomy is an app blocker that helps you spend less time doomscrolling. Choose the apps, feeds and websites you want to control, then set a daily scrolling limit of 30, 60 or 90 minutes. You can use that time whenever you want throughout the day.
Doomy helps you pause before you start scrolling and stay aware of how much scrolling time you have left. Once you reach your daily limit, your selected apps, feeds and websites stay blocked until the next day.
Doomy isn’t an all-or-nothing blocker. You choose how much time you want to spend scrolling each day, and Doomy helps you stay within that limit.
You can also block distracting feeds like Reels or Shorts without blocking the entire app, so you can still use Instagram or YouTube for everything else. Once your daily limit is used, your selected distractions stay blocked until the next day.
Doomy can block distracting apps, websites and individual feeds such as Reels and Shorts. That means you can remove the endless scrolling part of apps like Instagram or YouTube while still keeping access to the rest of the app.
Yes. Doomy lets you control 1 app/feed and 1 website for free. Super Doomy unlocks unlimited apps, feeds and websites.
Doomy uses Accessibility access to detect the apps and websites you choose to control and track how long you use them. It does not read your messages, passwords or anything you type. Doomy also uses analytics to understand how the app is used, so it can be improved over time.
